Although this self-proclaimed "dysfunctional duo" has known each other for quite some time, visionaries Joel TOCK and Steve LaxTONE hadn't realized they were both passionate songwriters up until fairly recently. Coming from different musical successes and walks of life, the sound of TOCK + TONE has grown from a broad palette of influences, from Delta and Chicago blues, classic rock, and 80s new wave, to 90s alternative, emo and alt-pop.

In their creative space known as "SMASH Ranch", located in middle-of-nowhere Wisconsin, this boomer/millennial hybrid makes for a fresh and endlessly exciting perspective for both Joel and Steve to churn out creations they can be proud of. Aside from their main focus as writers and artists, Tock and Tone also loves bringing in other artists to write with, produce and record at SMASH Ranch.

So far, this relatively new project has put out nine music videos, a full-length album called "Apples + Oranges", an EP entitled "LEMONLIME", and several singles. The variety in their releases is wide, as it's important to Joel and Steve to let each and every song take a shape of its own, in the studio and on the stage.
